Abstract:
For my project I had a game styled like a first person shooter. One of the
problems I encountered was finding a short and sweet way of loading a graphic
with transparent portions onto the background. Another problem I encountered
was loading my graphics. Almost all of the functions I encountered used
graphics as resources, but that leads to a bloated executable. External
graphic files also allow the user to make limited modifications to suite their
own needs.
